In waitamo I visited the glow worm caves as we got there early. Was really pretty looking at them like the stars but green!! Then met the bus after and said my farewells to Gwen. She even gave the bus driver a hug! Then headed onto Taupo. The picture is Rotorua by the way I am not really with it today!!

Met up with Gwen in the town just south of her house. Was really good to see her (nans best friend). She took me on a little tour of the town and up to the hill top which had great views. After that we went back to her house which was a lovely place with beautiful gardens. Once we got to Rotorua all of us (louise, tom andrew and alex) went up on a gondola which had amazing views over the lake and the town. Once up there we all did a bungey swing. Me and Louise went first, you basicly sit in this cirular thing and then get hoisted up REALLY high overlooking all the views. Up early to pick up the bus and head south. Stopped for breakfast in a little place called Thames and then carried on through the mountains to Cathedral Cove. Was beautiful scenery. Once we were there all did a 40min walk down to the cove which was a lovely beach with clear waters. Sunbathed there for a few hours before walking back to the bus. Left nice an early and headed up to Paihia in the Bay of Islands stopping off for coffee and breakfast on the way. Spoke to a really nice girl on the bus from Belfast (Louise) and will be doing the first bit of the trip with her now and three other guys she knows that are coming tomorow.
