Set off from Melaka at around 10am and arrived in KL about 1pm. We then checked into the hotel(slightly dodgy!!) and headed over to the famous Times Square plaza for some lunch. We then watch the 'biggest indoor rollarcoaster in the world' go, but decided not to go on because bestie was feeling poorly. Instead we took a walk downtown and saw the picturesque Jamet mosque surrounded by palm trees. We then went over to Medarka Square and saw the old colonial buildings and the tallest flagpole in the world!! In the evening we all went to the night market in chinatown and had chinese at one of the many little restaurants. The place looked a bit ropey but the food was actually really good! After that the guide, 'tom' took us to the regage bar which very nicely sold any spirit and mixer for just 5rm....80p!!! After that and a few tequillas we went over to Rum Jungle club in the golden Triangle district. There was a live band singing, mostly Black eyed Peas, that were really good. Headed to bed about 2am, only slightly tipsy, honest!!! Informed the taxi driver our road was called 'bucket penang', when in fact it was 'bukit pitang' but it was our way of remembering it!!!!
The next day the 22nd we went over to the KL Menara tower with three of the other girls, claryis, christine and Melissa. It stands at 421ft, we went right up to the observation room where you have paneranic views of the whole city, (especially the petronas twin towers which u can see in the picture). Saw everything as it was really sunny. We were lucky because as soon as we got to the bottom the thunder started and it tipped it down for about 1hour, we wouldn't have been able to see anything 1/2hour later!!!
We then all took a taxi to the batu caves. We walked up the 231 steps to the top surrounded by wild monkeys! One of then started following Hays rather quickly, never seen her move so fast. It was only because some americans said that it wanted her diet coke that she escaped!! Hays put the coke down had the monkey sat there and drank the lot! Was so funny, got a picture! The caves were really good, filled with lots of temples, each had a different story about them.
After the caves, got taxi back had some lunch and later went to a steakhouse before heading to bed early.
