Florence....What a beautiful city, spend the day wandering the many shops and sites in the city centre. We were expecting a storm, which thankfully didnt eventuate.....Georgie has some friends from Melb here, we warmed the seats of a wine bar for a few hours!! We watched the sun go down from pizzale Michelangelo....from here you look down over a beautiful city and ponte vecchio Leaving for Greve in Tuscany, we pick up the hire car (god help us) around 11 to nav...

Our second leg has begun.....we had a wonderful time in Rome albeit very hot days(40 degrees) ....we heard the stories of the colosseum, indulged in the tastes of Rome on 2 foodies tour, wandered around the ancient cobbled streets seeing building that have had several 100 yr birthdays. We met amazing new friends who helped us explore the nightlife and soak in chianti..... Now we are in Florence, arrived to HOT weather again and found our way to our little hotel....

0600 Rome time - 10 hrs sleep...ready and excited to get out there!!!

14 hrs down, and 14+ more to go.....Dubai airport is very clean and modern....too shattered to wander around though!!

It is now 46 hrs with no sleep - stinking hot in Rome.....checked into our hotel finally, had a swim, dinner, 2 beers to settle and I am hoping for 10+hrs sleep
