What an amazing city S. Gimignano is...steeped in history and beautiful to the eye. Georgie and I have had a car to explore this area of Tuscany. Yesterday we had a cooking school - gave me lots of inspiration for Bernellie's......you will all have to try my new repertoire of recipes!!!

Italy quickly shows you, when it comes to food - fresh local ingredients, simple combinations of flavours and excellent olive oil!!!

Last night we were in Siena to explore to old city and be part of the crowd in the local Palio - a part of his city history - a bare back horse race around the square in the largest piazza.....all 15 district compete, proudly displaying there flag....word on the street it is "rigged" by whoever can buy best horse and jockey....it's is Italy!!!!

An amazing night, full of the noise and splendour of a heaving passionate Italians!!

We then had to navigate home from Siena to S. Gimignano in the dark!! Well done G....

Today we relaxed and wander the town, spoken with M&D to hear all is well TG.....our pool at the villa could not have been more inviting this afternoon......
