So we have arrived in Bangkok, and its very hot and very smoggy. We ventured out on our 1st night to a local restaurant, and tasted Thai food. On our 1st full day we decided we would explore Bangkok, we took a long boat along the river, was an experience, it went very fast and was very bumpy and it confirms that i don't like boats. We got a tuk tuk around Thailand for 30b, about 60p. We saw the lucky Buddha and the big Buddha, followed by some more noodles, you will find a common trend it what i ate here. That evening we went to explore backpacker central, dined in a somewhat questionable restaurant. Jess found two cockroaches, one crawling up her leg. we then followed it by some strong cocktail buckets for some Dutch courage, for what we did next. We bartered down to go see a ping pong show and more, what i saw come out of them women, no man should see or know.
Our last day in Bangkok could of been the hottest so far, but it could of been because we had to wear long trousers as we were visiting the Grand Palace. This was beautiful, glad we did it as it shows Thailand architecture at its best. Although it was very hot, we enjoyed it and it allowed us to see the main attraction in Bangkok, well after what we experienced the night before. Following this Thai cultural experience i have to admit we experienced a part of home and went and visited our trusty friend Mc Donald's. Don't judge we had a 17 hour coach ride ahead of us and the Imodium had already been taken.
We were taken to a small hostel to wait for the coach to Samui, when they came to collect us, we were taken through a bit of a slum, we were taken through a Thai boxing ring, back streets, and through areas no tourist should see.
