Sooooooooooooo I'm now in Kuala Lumpur! Never thought I would be - but it's pretty wicked. The train from Bangkok to Butterworth was all sweet - got a pretty good sleep on my lower bunk :D Although It did end up being a 23 hour journey. When I arrived I booked myself straight on the next train to Kuala Lumpur - that was in 45 mins... perfect.

While buying tickets I met a couple of Australians who had been on the same train and were going the same way - so we made friends and now I've sent most of my souvenirs home by post because they told me how ruthless Auzzie customs are. That train journey took little under 8 hours and was pretty boring... our TV had no DVD player so that didnt work - but we did get a good view of the Petronas Twin Towers all lit up as we came in. :D

We arrived at the tourist centre of KL at about midnight - so there was only one thought - sleeeeeeep. I realised that KL is pretty expensive for accomodation :( im paying 20 Ringgit a night for a dorm bed shared with 3 staff members... 1 snores, 1 talks to himself in and out of his sleep... and all three get up at numerous times during the night to turn on the light, which is perfectly positioned above my top bunk! >:( whateverrr... ive spent my last night there - my next on is on a train....YAY.... :P

I only had a couple of missions in KL: 1 Buy train ticket to Singapore. 2 Buy some cheap shoes for Oz. 3 Send souvenirs home. 4 Get a shave

All are done but the last one... But I have untill 11pm tonight to do that - My train leaves KL at 11pm and arrives in Singapore at 7am - although it will actually arrive at 8 I reckon.

Anyway... That;s the plan - and then my flight to Melbourne departs at 19:45 I think on the 8th. :D Should be a BLAST!
