After a normal life in BA, we were now heading south trying to get to El Calafate for Christmas and Bariloche for New Year. While winter is arriving in both Holland and the UK, and Christmas is on its way, we are enjoying sun, beach, very nice temperatures and some surf. We had heard about this park where you could see some pretty different creatures, so we decided to try and get there. However, there was no direct route, so we took an 11hr night bus to Corrientes and then had 20 mins to buy a ticket to Mecedes, which we just made! Another 4hrs in the bus and we were there. After spending more than a week in Brazil, we can tell you, this is a great place! We spent a couple of days in Rio, stayed in a hostel up the hill in one of the favelas near Copacabana. A nice place to stay, and right in the middle of Brazilian streetlife. People having a shower at the side of the street, children playing everywhere.
