We arrived in Christchurch after one of the most boring car rides ever. After the spectacular West Coast we travelled over nothing but flat farm land for 5 hours. On the way up to Christchurch, we decided to stop off in Dunedin, which is gaelic for Edinburgh! A lot of the street names are the same, they have Princes, Hanover, Fredrick etc. It was nice to see some familiar places names, even though they got the orientation all wrong! We stayed in Te Anau after Queenstown as it was pretty much the closest town to Milford Sound and the rest of the Southern Fiordland (By the way, I thought Fiords was spelt with a j, like the Scandinavians spell it, but here its spelt with an i).
