Hi again everyone.

We spent one whole day in Singapore on Sunday after a pretty gruelling flight/airport situation (1 hr flight from Kathmandu, 7 hour wait at Dhaka airport, 4 hour flight to Singapore - and no sleeping to be done at all). We arrived at Singapore airport at 6am and couldn't check into our hostel so we just had to dump our bags and get involved. Erm, and to say it was hot was an understatement! Luckily Singapore is an air conditioned shopping mall haven so we literally spent all day wandering around the malls, stopping for coffee (our first Starbucks for 2.5 weeks was a treat), eating noodles, sitting on the ridiculously clean pavement for an hour waiting for the rain to stop and shopping for a camera (we felt left out of the SLR gang so did a bit of haggling for one - we really look like "travellers" now - just have to take Nidder's advice now and die our hair purple!).

And that was pretty much it for Singapore. Next stop: Bangkok....
