Hey, since we last spoke we have spent one night in a place called Chiangmai. Which is in the north of Thailand. i think its quite near Burma. Last night we went to the top of a mountain and visited a monks temple. I have been told that 95% of Thai people are Budha. The temple was really nice and we got to see the chanting of the monks. Which is where they chant for 1 hour every night. After the monks temple we went to the local night market. We have bought 2 bedsite table lamps which have budha faces on them. They cost about 4 pounds for the two, so if they get damaged then they get damaged! This morning we headed off on our 7 hour journey to the place that we are staying tonight. i cant think for the life of me what this place is called!!!! Anyway its right on the Lao border, well there is a river seperating Thailand from Lao. Its quite strange because we can stand on the terrace and look over to another country!!! Tomorrow morning we leave at 9am and get the boat over the border into lao, which should take about 20 seconds, as the river is only about 20 ft wide! Ahora mismo no se donde estoy, lo que si se es que puedo ver Laos desde donde estamos hospedados. Ayer llegamos a Chiang Mai, fuimos a un templo a ver unos monjes y habia una fiesta etc, muy bonito. Esta manana hemos venido a este lugar, 7 horas de camino, y hemos parado en otro templo. Este pueblo es muy pequeno, creo que solo tiene 3.000 habitantes. Ayer fui a un cursillo de cocina y nos ensenaron como cocinar 4 platos, sereis mis conejillos de india . Manana por la manana vamos a Laos y tenemos dos dias de barco por delante. El grupo con el que estamos viajando esta muy bien, y entretenido os cuento. Ya os dije que habia unos abueletes viajando con nosotros, bueno pues son unos borrachines, estan todo el dia bebiendo y la abuela coge cada una que no veas! Pero eso no es nada, nos conto que estaba empezando una nueva etapa en su vida... se ve que ella estaba casada con el mejor amigo del que nosotros pensabamos que era su marido, y ella de su esposa. Vamos que los dos se han divorciado y se han liado y no veas... la tia en el tren se quito la ropa por la noche y se metio en el catre con el viejo y nos dijo que a dormir todos!! Ya os contare mas porque seguro que esto no acaba aqui! La comida me esta gustando mucho es bastante diferente a la china. La gente es mas simpatica y todo esta mas limpio, tambien parece que son mas ricos aqui. Todo el mundo adora a la familia real y hay fotos por todo. Se ve que el rey a hecho mucho por el pais etc, el dia 5 de dic. cumple 80 anos! Bueno como os he dicho el hostal esta bien, es basico no se puede tirar de la cadena del wc porque no hay asi que hay que tirar agua con un cubo y la luz la quitan en el pueblo a las diez. Uff tengo muchas mas cosas que contaros pero mateo necesita poner fotos asi que un beso a todos!
