Were now in Kunming and have been here for two days now. Yesterday we checked into our hostel at around 12 and headed out to one of the many local markets. We bought a picture which has been hand carved out of wood. Its really nice and cost about 4 pounds! At the market there was a street that was selling cute puppy dogs, but for some reason Belen decided to look behind one of the stalls. It was a really bad idea because they had all the dogs that they were using for breading in very small cages. For example there was a rottweiler in one cage that could not even stand!!!!! the vision is still haunting me today!!!! Belen was in tears, but as I told her there is nothing we can do about it. If that had been in Ibiza we probably would have taken them all. Last night we went to a western restaurant with six friends. We all had a main course and a desert and about five drinks each. It only cost us 4 pounds each!!! plus it was really good steaks etc. Today we were supposed to go to the stone forrest, but we were all too lazy to get up!!! We decided to do another day at the markets, but not the pet market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I bought a pair of trainers fo 10 euros/ 7 pounds and there realy nice. We are leaving for Guillin tomorrow, but only 3 of us now as two of our friends are going west to dalin or dali (not sure how its spelt). I think that our route for the rest of China wil be Guillin Yungshou, Hanan and then Hong Kong. Hanan is an island south of China wchich is where all the chinese go on holiday. It has golden beaches and good nightlife. It also has an island 1 1/2 hours from it that has 1,000 monkeys living on it. It sounds good as we have been told that the monkeys come right next to you and eat peanuts from your hand, but you have got to watch as they try and steal your cameras.
