We have now been in Hong Kong for three days now. Hong Kong is great!!!! all we have done since we have arrived is shop and eat. There are so many shops, markets and nice restaurants. Its great to be able to eat western food after eating chinese for the last 4 weeks!!! (no offence Georgie!). The electronics are so cheap here, so we decided to buy a laptop!! it cost us around 400 ponds, but wet checked the internet back home and it would have cost us about 900 pounds. So less than half price must be good! It has wireless internet and a built in webcam, so we can log onto the net whenever we want. Infact i am writing this blog lying in my bed right now!! beats the hell out of waiting to get a computer in the internet cafe! We had an e-mail from sta travel today asking our permission to publish one of our photos from the temple of heaven on their website. Maybe our camera is not so bad after all. Anyway back to Hong Kong. We went to the cinema last night to watch the horror movie Halloween. It was strange because we watched it in english with chinese subtitles, but we were the only non chinese in the audience. As georgie will know the chinese love there partys at halloween. Our friends went to a massive street party on Hong Kong island, but we decided to have a quiet one, as i feel that i had enough wild nights in Yangshuo!!! Tonight we went to see the light show, which in my opinion was rubbish, but it is one of these things that you have to see if you come to hong kong. After the show went to the night market on Temple street and bought loads of dvds. I managed to buy lost season 3 for 5 pounds and i dont think it is even released in Britian yet. Tomorrow we are going to start seeing some tourist stuff, so the plan is to get up at 9am and head to victoria peak. We will have to see tho as its alomost 2am at the moment.
