DAY 20 - WARSZAWA Pawiak - During the first period under German occupation, until March 1940, the prison was subordinated to the Department for Justice of the Generalgouvernement. From that date Pawiak became a prison under the office of the Commander of Security Police, SD, and Gestapo.
