Well im here now in Singaopore, the first chapter of the 'World Tour'. Really excited, scared, nervous and exhilarated by the prospect of hings to come. Im staying in possibly the greatest hostel called the Inncrowd backpackers. Have met some awsome people. Hillary was the firs person, a scot from Glasgow, but you would never tell. We have had some pretty drunken nights out as you could probably imagine. The city is very cosmopolita in areas, and in the dark ages in others. You can walk from India to China to Malaysia all in the space of about 5km. Its difficult to get your head round a imes tha these three diverse cultures all different all live in harmony ogether. I have had my singapore sling in Raffles, as you do! Been to Sentosa to see the man made island and the Merlion. Rode the MRT more times than i can remember. There is not enough hings to keep you occupied for two whole weeks in singapore, which is the reason that i did these things more than once. This is also the reason that i had a litle day trip to Indonesia, apart from the passport stamp (he he.....That was he only reason really). Anyway a good experience , a glimpse into Indonesian culure. I start my tour North tommorrow to Bangkok, wih The Imaginative Traveler. I am really looking forward to it. I have to walk about 2 km with my backpack on. Unreal especially in the heat and humidity of Singapore. Oh yeah im really burnt at the moment......burning off the white!!!!!!!!!!!
