The trip to the Salt flats didnt start out too great. Because of the weather know one was sure whether any trips would be running or not. Well the dreaded bus was actually not so bad, we had booked cama seats, so they pretty much reclined into bed amd wher alot wider than a regular bus seat. We both slept most of the night followed by watching films in Spanish and staring at the never ending desert. So we had our bus back to Santiago as they were all full for us to go straight to San Pedro. It worked out quite well though as some friends we had met way back in Vietnam and again in NZ were staying in the same hostel. Valparaiso and Vino Del Mar are ajoining towns about 2 hours out of Santiago and its on the coast. When we arrived we took a taxi to our hostel but what a performance that was. Well the time has arrived, were are now onto our final leg of the trip and what better way to end than South America. Seemed to take a while to get here though. Firstly we arrive at the airport nice and early (12pm) so we´d have plenty of time, only to find our flight is delayed from 16.05 to 19.25.
