Becky Bravo's Adventures
Seeing as though we could not spare the $30,000 each to fly First Class, we sat in Economy for the very long 16 flight from LAX to Dubai. Even thought it was incredibly long, it was probably the best flight I have ever had. Jaime agrees. He said the only flight that was better that he could think of was his flight home from Iraq after his deployment.
First of all, there was no third person in our row, so we had three seats for just the two of us. It was nice to be able to spread out. The flight attendants were all incredibly nice and helpful. We were given hot towels a couple of times and even a little bag with socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a face mask in it. The meals were delicious and filling. And in the whole 16 hours, there was one very short bit of turbulence, which was barely anything. It was the smoothest flight ever. There were so many movies and TV shows and entertainment options to choose from, it made the flight go by very quickly. Between that and sleeping, it did not feel like 16 hours at all. I know I am already sounding like an advertisement for Emirates Airlines, but if you ever need to fly overseas and have the option of flying with them, do it! ;)
As we were getting closer to landing, our screens automatically showed sites and options for staying in Dubai. We are crazy excited about our 24 hours that we get here on our way back!
Our layover in Dubai was only a few hours. We had just enough time to freshen up, eat dinner, and then board our flight to Delhi.
