Becky Bravo's Adventures
So, even though we were BALLS tired from the previous day's travel, Pookie, Matthew, and I boarded the 8:16am train to Grand Central Station. They were meeting up with a couple that was just at their wedding, and I was meeting this guy in this really cool band that I like - MY BROTHER!!! Pook, Matt and I parted ways at Grand Central Station and Jon and I took on the city.
Starting with Times Square, we just walked around and sweated off our body weight. It was so flippin hot it was insane. But it was fun nonetheless. We started our day how everybody loves to start their day - being in the middle of a photoshoot of a steroided up she-male in the middle of Times Square. We went there for a photo-op, and photo-op is what we got. (Picture provided - your're welcome).
Being fans of 30 Rock, we checked out Rockafeller Center, then ventured on over into Central Park. Jon also brought two razor scooters that we scooted around the city in, so we got from point to point quite quickly. Not without almost crashing numerous times (those scooters are harder to handle then they look.) We saw where John Lennon was shot and visited his Memorial. And after taking advantage of some more photo ops, (no more she-males) we scooted our way back to Grand Central to subway it over to Brooklyn. We found this random tiny cafe and Job treated me to a lovely lunch. Those sodas we drank were the best ever because we had walked / scooted over 60 blocks, and it was HOT!!!
The Brooklyn Experience shall be continued in the next blog.....hang onto your seats!

Melody Didn’t you go to Tiffany’s?! Sounds like you did a greal deal in the short time you had. Now, don’t you want to go back to the Big Apple for a longer time?Maybe we will go together. Oh, that’s right ~ I will "cramp your style". You’ll do better by yourself or with a cutesy fellow like Jon. Anxious to read your impression of Brooklyn. Love, Melody
