Yesterday we went to see the terracotta warriors. We took a organized tour this time instead of doing it on our own as it's pretty far from were we are staying, and the underground doesn't seem to be that popular here as in the other places. It took 1 hour and a half to get there our tour guide was really funny she was Chinese her name was jaja and she kept on chatting up one of the Australians that was on the tour very funny well he was pretty scared. At the Terra cotta warriors there were three pits we started in number two as there aren't that many of the warriors that they found are unable to be put back together and are smashed on the floor. Pit number two was a bitter better they had a few of the warriors pieced back together along with some horses. And then pit number one was the best this had 2000 warriors pieced back together it was amazing to see. Altogether they found 8000 warriors underground they only found them in 1974 and it's took all this time to put 2000 back together. They looked amazing each statue had it's own unique face that was the face of the workere that made it and after they made the statue the emporer would have the worker killed so there wasn't any copies of the statue so all the 8000 workers maybe more were killed after the statues were made. When they were first made in the 259bc the Terra cotta warriors were in colour but the coulr disapeared after half an hour if being dug up. They also believe there are still more statues to find, as these statues are so far away from the emporers tomb. It was really amazing to see. After we left the Terra cotta warriors we went to see a monistary for just lady monks. Then we got back to the hostel and had a rest before we went to see a show.
The show was ok well no actually it was pretty crap u think it was supposed to be a Chinese opera but I suppose it was an experience. So it was a very long day. Today we have just packed we leave Xian to go to shanghai this time we get the train so hopefully it will be a better journey. And hopefully Becky won't throw up after we get of the train like the last time ha ha.
