we got on the buss this mornng at 8.15am which menat a very early start espcially as the people in our dorm got up at 5.30 to go 2 work (crazy germans) the bus ws a bit late (auzzie time) and the bus driver was a riot. watchd a film got aquainted with the local flys at the lunchtime service station and arrived in cervantes just after 12. it was a bp station in the middle of nowhere with a phone box....and the bus left! luckily we had emailed the lovelands ( the people we are staqying with) before thaqt we would be arriving and in a few mins even before we could phone sandra pulled up and we made our journey back to the farm. after a 20min drive into the outback she pointed out her farm." it starts here..... (5mins later) here we are!" ITS HUGE there lots of land. we were introduced to the pets... ned the dog, misty the cat, 2 ducklings, a million geese and hens and 2 roosters ( we gna be getting up early) and the best of all 3 joeys ( baby roos). we got to feed them and hold them and play with them it was amazing. we had proper food for lunch a yummy sandwhich filled with real meat and cheese. then after a quick sleep met steph their daughter (9) who is lovely. we went on a tour of the farm in the back of a 4x4 truck which was wkd. it took about 30mins and the ride was amazing. we saw tonnes of kangaroos hopping about its sureal. then had a few beers/bears to cool us down before a full roast welcome dinner with gravy and a big joint of pork yumyum. mums we are being looked after well. we have our own pad in the shed which is wkd it even has a lounge and kitchen which we are sharing with the spiders. its really cool here. we gna be going on some tours around the area in our free time. steve ses mim n dad i want my bed back!!!
