we arrived in Ayutthaya the old capital after taking an air con mini bus for abour 2 hours. We started our rice barge cruise around the city alog its canels. It was amazing the most gorge boat and with a lovely sun deck! the first day we went on a bike ride around the local villages. we got up a little earlier today with plans to do some sightseeing but due to beki forgetting the 1st rule of malaria tablets (take them after a meal) we ended up staying in the hotel till after 1 as she ended up being very sick! yuk yukl. we finallu ventured out and slowly ate a pancake before visiting the national art gallery which was fantastic. lots of lovely pictures and also some that were painted by the previous kings. hiya everyone justto let you know that we have got here safely and that bangkok is amazing!!. We arrived by very crazy taxi driver who drove at a million miles per hours but we soon realised thats just how they drive here. The hotel is really nice the foyer is wkd and our rooms are nice for 9quid a night. Today was specail TUK TUK promotion day where you can get around in a tuk tuk for 20baht(around 30p) however.... you have to visit a jewerly shop and a clothes...
