day1 we headed out of nelson along to westport. we stopped at the nelson lakes to do what was meant to be a 45 min walk but as we got lost and took the wrong turning it took a bit longer. after retracing all our steps we finally managed to locate the group 200m from where we went wrong... typical. got some great photos of the lakes and resident ducks and had a really fun time skimming stones. after this we made our way to westport where we got cosy round the tv and settled in for some marathon dvd watchin. day2 from westport to poo pub. we set off and did a really lovely morning walk accross to a light house and another seal colony and then in the afternoon we walked around the pancake rocks which were...well pancake like. we rudely got told to eat our lunch outside the cafe, where it was really cold, as we had a packup (silly old codger) but we got to see an unusual bird so it was kinda worth it. then we headed on down to greymouth where we got our costumes for the night we went as peter andre and jordan. the poo pub was basically a really old pub with a really old man who looked like santa claus. we had a wkd night as everyone had dressed up. we got a free bottle of wine as we washed up so that was our drinks for the night sorted. yay. played drunken pool which is never a good idea and had a bit of a boogie. we hope to win a free bungy jump but it got drawn out of a hat so we dnt win. climbed into bed pretty late. steve had to have a shower as he was covered in facepaint (fake tan stylie) good night had by all
