So my countdown has begun. 2 more sleeps, one more day of work and one more gaggle of chattering Brownies to look after, and then I'll be flying through the sky in a tin can with wings for a few days in Dubai before my travels proper begin!

This will officially herald the beginnings of my trip, I'll be decisively unemployed for the first time since graduating, which is a worrying thought, but one that I'm not letting ruin the moment!

The hope is I won't make a complete fool of myself on my last day at work - one (slightly) tearful goodbye tonight does not, I hope, forewarn of tomorrows events. I suppose we will see (and I may or may not share the happenings of my final day with you, depending how embarassing they are).

In the meantime I have some buns to ice, some tea to cook, some exercise to do and some packing and organising still to sort so I'll sign off.

T-Minus 48 hours till Dubai and after that - who knows? - lots to look forward to.
