The seas have gotten rough and the popping sounds have increased, so neither of us slept well at all. We had room service breakfast so we could be at the spa for an 8:00 massage. Today was a sea day so we had our room service coffee and then got dressed nicer than usual for a dining room breakfast. We were seated by a window and Kathi got to see some flying fish! We were up in time to watch our arrival into St. Maarten. We were the first ship into port and watched four other massive ships pull in. The island is pretty by the water but very desert like away from the coast. We learned that the Dutch side of the island, which is where we are docked, is spelled St. Maarten and the French side is spelled St. Martin. You can't tell when you go from one to the other except for the signs along the road...most of the Dutch signs ...

We were up in time to see our arrival into St. Thomas, and even though it was still fairly dark, it was just beautiful. We saw several people in hotels we were passing take our picture. I'm sure it's quite a sight to see this enormous ship arriving. Our room faced the dock and we actually had a prime location for disembarking.
