I'm going to sum up the rest of the vacation since we really didn't do much in the way of entertainment since Rich was so under the weather. (We were at Kit & Mike's until Sunday afternoon and Rich began feeling better on Saturday afternoon.)

Kit & I enjoyed chatting and just relaxing, it had been a long time since it was just the two of us. We got together with some friends of theirs whom we had been on vacation with several years before, Robert & June, and went to a winery and out for dinner to an Italian place. Mike treated us to lunch before our flight left at a local Italian place near their home and then it was time for us to head to the airport. The flight didn't leave LAX until 6:30 p.m. and by the time we arrived into Houston, it was midnight. We claimed our bags, got the car and then headed for home. I think we fell into bed about 2:00 a.m., both exhausted but happy to be in our own bed.

It was a great vacation! Next up--Barcelona to Rome in April 2017!
