Retired & Traveling
We woke up this morning late (for us) since we were exhausted from the night before. We got our room service coffee and decided to put on our workout clothes to do the walking track. After we ate breakfast, we headed up to the 17th deck and joined a bevy of others...the wind just about blew us off the deck it was so strong! They have a track for walkers and a separate one for joggers, but 7 laps equals one mile and I didn't last long--got dizzy! I had a bunch of errands to take care of, so we parted ways.
After errands, we checked out what was happening on the ship and I told Kathi the one thing I really wanted to do was log on and publish my updates. Turns out the signal is too weak in our room and I have to sit in one of the public areas so here I am.
I was blogging while Kathi shopped. After the buffet lunch, we listened to a guy play the steel drum. A couple was dancing and they were quite good. A class instructing the cha cha began and I decided to go back to our room and elevate my legs. The sea is still very smooth so no seasickness (yet)
The Captain had invited me (and about 300 other cruisers) to attend his welcome back social and today is formal wear, so Kathi and I got dolled up and attended. A group of 4 singers entertained us with a medley of Motown songs and the cruise director gave us a few fun facts about Princess turning 50. The Captain came out and spoke for a bit and then drew a few names for some door prizes -- we didn't win. :(( However, we did get a drink coupon to use so it was all good.
We lined up for dinner and opted to sit alone and were seated by the window. The menu was special this evening in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Princess. We both had the fish entree and my dessert was the special one created by master chef Norman Love--see the photo, it tasted as good as it looked. I hated to take the first bite because it was so pretty--tough job but somebody had to do it! :))
After dinner, we scurried over to the Vista Lounge to see a comedy magic show featuring Scott Alexander. He was very good--did a lot of different magic tricks from ones I've seen before and kept us laughing.
After his performance, we went back to the room and watched The 100 Foot Journey--we both liked it and even managed to stay awake until the end, which is saying something after a hard day of activities and wine. :))

Rich Run errands?? What kind of errands do you have to run on a ship? Reception with the captain? You must be one of the elite cruisers now-I can see why with a dozen or so cruises under your belt in the last couple of years.
Traci lol dad I was thinking the same thing! I'm curious to know what errands yall had to run :) sounds like yall are having a blast! The beach photos looked beautiful;I'm a bit green with envy.
Toni The widget maker took a break to see how ya'll are doing. :) You guys look like you're having a blast. Norman Love has a shop in Ft. Myers and is well known in these parts...so I know that dessert was yummy.
