Arrived here at Noosa on the14th, staying at the Noosa Tropicana, serviced apartment. Hot and sunny as described on the can for the Sunshine Coast, so had a quick bite at Take Five and explored the river and estuary beaches.BBQ back at the Tropicana in the evening. Yesterday started hot and sunny again so hired a boat for a trip round Noosa Sound and up the river. Saw a White-bellied Sea Eagle and Sacred Kingfisher as well as pelicans and terns. The forecast tropical storm put in a bit of an appearance after another tasty lunch at Take Five but cleared to allow a walk into the national park`at Noosa Heads. Looked a bit threatening again so we headed to Hastings Street, the rather upmarket shopping parade for a quick meander and bevvie. Another fine barbie in the evening before the storm returned. The rain continued most of the night and was still in evidence this morning when we headed off to Hervey Bay, where we are now based writing this blog.

Table booked for the Black Dog Cafe this evening and an early night ready for our trip to Fraser Island in the morning.
