Day 1
And were off...
After an early wake up and the last decent shower I will have in the next seven months we were off to wazzy the flys house for a lift to the airport. After checking in, final goodbyes were said with surprisingly little water works and that was it, we were on our own.
After cruising through customs, it wouldn't be fair for everything to run smoothly, and so, of course at the security check in we were forced to empty out our bags due to some mysterious objects that disappeared after a rescan.
Whilst Stopping for a quick maccas breakfast we ran into Jessie and Bec who were also on our flight and slowly made our way to the gate. After a long and somewhat entertaining game of eye spy, we started to board saying goodbye to Australia for the next seven
Months.
Saying this plane ride was amazing, would be an incredibly large understatement. After each getting a row of seats to ourselves, we were given our slippers, blankets and breakfast and settled in for a long flight. 3 movies later, lunch was served, wine was drunk and after a quick nap we were finally in Korea.
As soon as we landed we could tell we were back in summer and couldn't be happier. We grabbed our bags, hopped on the bus and made our way to our complimentary hotel. We each made our way to our rooms which were also nothing short of awesome. Queen beds, tvs and a surprisingly over used telephone in the toilet were just a couple of the highlights making this the nicest place we will possibly stay.
A quick dinner at the hotel was
made very memorable by the over ambitious waiters who made it impossible to finish your glass of water, roaming the room just waiting for you to put your glass down so they could fill it back up.
Our night on the town was cancelled after we found out trains end at 11pm and from there it seemed the only form of entertainment was a trip back to the airport for some wifi and late night maccas.
Our night ended with some hilarious Korean tv that somehow was very entertaining despite not understanding a word.
That's all for now.
