Lima - The Market Nazi, by Baz

After the museum we wnet to the open air market in Miraflores. There were lots of stalls in the park where local people were selling lots of craft items. There was a very stern looking security guy patroling the area - his weapon of choice; the whistle. As he strolled around the market like a cockral keeping the hens in check, he would blow his whistle with great force at anything he deemed inappropriate. This included anyone touching the displays, or just loitering too long in the main path. He was the only security guard I had seen with a moustach. A small thin one - as a result I named him, the market Nazi.

I had to get a foto of him, so I constructed the sentance in my best Spanish, uncertain how he would respond, would I get a stern look, or perhaps even a whistle. Luckily he melted and a big smil emerged from his stern face. we Seonaid took the foto and the market Nazi retreated to smiles and laughs from some of the market traders.
