Veince, city of rivers, was our priority today, although many of us had some pretty intense hangovers!

after we eventually GOT to the island ) think a bus, people mover and monorail we had a walking tour over the whole city which was really cool. We saw the best ( sercret) churchesand markets to explore as well as St Marks Square and the Bridge of Sighs.

This whole trip I have been looking forward to seeing the pigions in St Marks Square because last time I was there they were crazy, but guess what. . . . someone had decided it wasnt a good idea to have the birds there anymore and had made all the bird feed stall holders leav! How mean!

Anyway, first up we went to a glass blowing factory which was actually amazing! We saw this guy make a little glass horse in about 3 minutes flat. It was so hot that when they placed a peice of paper next to it, the paper burst into flames! It was so cool! After all this excitement Franno and I deicded to get lost in venice, as that is defs the best thing to do! We wandered around for most of the day, and I took her to the realtio Bridge which is the biggest bridge in the city. Then we went over and did some gift shopping before stopping for some lunch.

BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD SO FAR! I ordered a pizza thing which had brie cheese and procehttio, and mushrooms, good recipie mum! It was amazing partly because it was just so good but alos we were so tired it made it even better!

It was also funny because franny had a water bottle out and a guy came past and managed the bottle just so, and it fell right into her lap and bag! It was perfect!

After a little more wandering around, window shopping and listen to the locals babble away, we hopped on the water taxi for a cruise back to the bus. But before we were on safe grounds we had another problem. How the hell do you pay for a water taxi? no one else seemed to be putting money anywhere, and no one was checking tickets. So being the dishonest Backpackers we were we rode the taxi right into the bus station for free. Score

The shuttle picked us up at 4 pm and we were so knackered from getting 3 hours sleep the night before that we all had a nanna nap. Then it was time for dinner, tacos, and drinks for all those super party animals, me on the other hand decided it was an early night and went to be at about 1030!
