Sunday. Bright sunshine. Another beautiful walk along tsim sha tsui and the star ferry across Victoria harbour. This time, destination is the Macau ferry terminal. Ticket purchased, through customs and I'm sitting in my seat ready for departure, the boat gently rocking on the water. Journey is an hour, which gives me time to read up a little on somewhere, I have to confess, I know nothing about. This trip is a tip off from a friend with excellent local knowledge....

Paper thin walls, kids messing around in the early hours of the morning party goers arriving home at all hours smoking in the corridor, I walked out this morning and found myself a new one... The intercontinental grand Stanford. Very nice. All I need is a good sleep and this should provide. Now back to my day....

I'm sitting on Tsim Sha Tsui promenade looking back at Hong Kong island, the sun set 10 minutes ago and I'm watching the lights come on a few at a time across what is a slightly hazy Victoria Harbour.
