We are coming to the end of our time in Surfers so i guess its necessary to update those of u that dont speak 2 us as regularly as others on the respective paths we are currently taking and maybe outline briefly some of the fun and frolics we have had on the Gold Coast. Our time on the coast has seen us take on many activities, welcome many old friends and make lots of new ones. first up on the fun boat were moly, hurren, elsbury and gouldy who joined us for a friday nite of beer, well everyone apart from tiger elsbury who didnt quite make it out that nite bless him...(see pics of sedge in comedy underpants consoling the poor chap). next up were the infamous duo who rocked up on their "big fat adventure" and left us even bigger and even fatter. intending to stay for two days messrs neary and don joined us over the easter weekend and proceeded to stay for 2 weeks that were a whirlwind of adventure. we learned together (u cant buy beer without food on good friday...but u can take 2 hours 2 order food), we surfed together (or at very least attempted too) and we lived together. apparently we had the odd orange juice as well.

a far more wholesome time was had when georgie joined us for 2 and a bit weeks. georgie, joe and sedge became a tourist trio, taking on seaworld, dreamworld, draculas cabaret restaurant, kangaroos, ice bars and koalas and leaving no dodgy photo opportunity untouched. (particularly good commitment shown by sedge on this front). the undoubted highlight being joe and georgies faces as they came down on the highest vertical drop ride in the southern hemisphere, luckily joe had packed his spare pants. possibly followed by their messy state following 4 bottles of wine at draculas.

during our time here joe and sedge in particular have improved their surfing; bav has started a job with a company that he is doing well in so will be stayin in oz a wee bit longer leaving a gruesome twosome to cover the east coast for two weeks before joe and sedge rendezvous with a certain webber/jamieson combination and hit cold weather for the first time in 5 months in NZ.

as many of u are aware stephen has taken trips to ayers rock, alice springs and is currently starting work on a farm for a week as a jackaroo. early starts and mucky smelly conditions-proof he is a changed man. he might even be nice to sawday after realising he actually isnt the worst smelling creature around. on a personal level for joe he has become a member of colleges knights rugby club, whilst far from excelling on the field they are an excellent source of fun and would dominate any beer league table. sedge has also had a run out on the hallowed turf at full back and acquitted himself rather well. as for hagrid bavin well he is fast becoming the greatest salesman since alan sugar, rumours of an apprentice series 4 slot are rife and it is believed only the beard is holding him back.
