So it has been a very, very long week. I don't have to work until Saturday, so I have decided to hit the road with my dog. I just decided this a few minutes ago...booked the hotel and tomorrow morning Raina and I are off to Chicago. It's only about a 14 hour drive or so. Those who have read my east coast road trip blog know that I am slightly crazy and can handle a long drive. Now there is so much to do...I need to pack my stuff, some food for Raina, her crate, finish a homework assignment and go to my friend's house for dinner. I'm hoping to leave around 6 tomorrow morning so that I can get to the hotel in Chicago and start planning what to do. We'll be back some time Thursday, so we will only be there for two full days. All I know so far is that I definitely need to go to the Field Museum. I went to Chicago in October and loved it. The Field Museum has some new exhibit having to do with natural disasters, which is right up my alley. And of course we have to go to the dog beach because Raina misses the beaches. She is very excited, she just doesn't know it yet. :) Time to go pack...so much to do. I really shouldn't be taking this trip because money is tight, but right now my sanity is more important! This is so spur of the moment, I haven't even checked the weather in Chicago! Let's see...need to close and lock the windows...buy cat food. I can do this, I can be spontaneous!
