Mumbai scenes: huge outdoor laundry where everyone sends their stuff; sacred cows on the street; our private boat to visit the elephant caves on an island nearby. Food is spicy so we are hunting for plain stuff. Hotel Taj Mahal is world class. 21 million people here.

How laundry gets done. For a few rupees, men on bikes or on foot pick it up wash it outside and even iron it.

Picture was taken from our room at the Taj Mahal Hotel of India Gate. This is where the British came and went when they ran India. Got here at midnight Wednesday, working through jet lag. Great walk through the area around the hotel yesterday. Today we will see the rest of the highlights. We were told yesterday a million millionaires live here. We can believe it. There is a personal residence in the city, with no grass that was built for $1 Billion!
