We got to La Paz after having our bags checked in Santa Cruse and then from there a flight to La Paz.
We started our time in La Paz in a mad cab journey, the place is crazy and all drivers have a death wish ! while Barry and i are screaming in the back its who dares wins in the race to get somewhere in this town ! actually in south Amercia !
We have been struggling with the alitude here and even just climbing the few stairs in the hostel we are out of breath.
We visited the Witch Market, La Paz´s biggest market. Picked up a few things. The weather is nice in the day but gets really cold at night so we brought a couple Lama Jackets which is what the locals wear to keep warm. We went a little lama mad and brought hats, socks, gloves and slippers ! The fun things is finding a damm post office out here ! Our bags have already reached max capicity and are breaking our backs!
Something else biazare about La Paz on the Zebra crossings there are actual human zebras helping the thousands of people cross the road dancing and singing while they do it.
There is no currency exchange place in south amercia it seems so far, we are having to change money on the street. Handing over our cash to a man behind a small wooden desk, with a umbrella attached to it .
