So its been a few days since I have managed to get a good free internet connection and hence the lack of blogging!

Since Rio we have joined up with a tour that takes us to Buenos Aires over 2 and a half weeks. We have just arrived in Paraty on the cost of Brazil having spent the last few days in Ilha Grande (a small Island off the cost). Ilha grande was absolutely stunning! Emily and I shared a chalet at the hotel which was lovely - it had a hammock out the front, draped white curtains and a big double bed with en suite- luxury!!

On the first day we went to Lopes Mendez - the beach in the picture - which was beautiful - long white sandy beaches and clear water! We followed a long hard day on the beach with a group BBQ at the hotel around the swimming pool with a cocktail lesson on making Caipirinha´s and a shed load of meat!

Yesterday we went on a boat trip around the island to the main snorkelling areas called the blue and green lagoons. They looked and sounded amazing but on arrival were full of other boat tours, tree debris and rubbish from other boats. I swam a long way away from the clutter and saw some great fishes and coral but closer to the boat wasn´t such a pleasant experience!

On our last night in Ilha Grande we went for a group meal before Emily and I walked around the market stalls and ate some dessert off a huge dessert cart!!

Today we have arrived in Paraty which on first impression looks good. Going out for dinner in abit before a party on the beach so still having a tough life out here! The plan for tomorrow is some more brazilian beaches and maybe some natural waterfall slides nearby!
