Friday 14th December
Most comfortable nights sleep yet with air conditioning, silky smooth cotton bed linen and a good mattress!
We decided to go for a pre-breakfast run in the park. It was another dry sunny day with a fresh feel in the air as we ran round the grit paths between trees, statues, fountains and flowerbeds, with sprinklers spraying, hard to believe it will be Christmas in less than 2 weeks!
We snap some photos and return to the Ismael to shower before breakfast. Kathryn decided to take a dip in the rooftop pool first.
It was nice to have enough time to enjoy an excellent leisurely breakfast in the usual South American style.
Our driver arrived on time and we headed off through the rush hour traffic, enjoying views of stalls, street art and trolleys piled high with fruit heading for the market. Check in was straight forward and we spend our last pesos buying a bottle of Pisco to attempt to recreate a Pisco Sour when the weather warms up at home!
A smooth flight with our last views of the snow capped Andes before transiting at Buenos Aires for a couple of hours before our onward flights to Birmingham via Amsterdam. It has been an incredible holiday!
