Hi, Arrived in New York on the 11th December, my first stop on the Big One, with the YMCA song in my head for some strange reason - don't ask me why but it didn't leave me in the whole time I was here! The boys (John and Nilesh) joined me after a couple of days which was fabulous. What an amazing city, did all the usual attractions Empire State, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island (I loved this place, it chronicles the arrival of the settlers that came through to settle in the early 1900's, many of them had never seen electricity let alone the NYC skyline!). My birthday as many of you know took place here - what it is to be 21 again! The guys treated me to my favourite breakfast, blueberry pancakes with maple syrup - yummm! We did the Sex in the City Tour which was fun, then off to one of the hippest restaurants in town; Baltazar. Though it turned out that NYC is a little behind London in restaurant chic as this place turned out to be an exclusive hyped up version of the Dome or Cafe Rouge. We still had a great time and made up for it at some other fab restaurants. The last night we headed for an Indian restaurnant (there really is nothing like a good Indian meal). Got chatting to the v.cute waiter who took us to a club, where his friends turned out to be models that hadn't quite made it yet but hey we may have met the next supermodel! Nearly forgot to say the shopping was grrrrreat, bought up most of the shoes in NYC plus clothes and handbags!!
