We visited Wave Rock today, along with heaps of other tourists. A natural rock formation shaped like a breaking wave, it is far smaller than you think it will be at around 14 metres high and 110 metres long. Today was a day for seeing rather odd tourist attractions! We left our campsite this morning and headed first into the tiny town of Shackleton, known for having the tiniest bank in WA (open only for an hour and a half each week) and a local resident who has created a rather novel garden filled with creative statues made out of recycled materials. Left the caravan in our free camp in York this morning to go for a walk in town checking out all the historic buildings - and the lolly shop. Packed up this morning - always a lot to do when you've been in one place for a while. We finally left Cottesloe in Perth at 1pm, knowing we were only planning to drive a little over 100km east to the tiny heritage-listed town of York. The morning dawned bright and sunny so we began the process of loads of washing and cleaning and preparing the caravan for leaving our two week sojourn in Perth tomorrow.
