Woke up today in the seaside town of Kingston SE to find most of the other caravans, camper vans and motor homestead already packed up and left. Made scrambled eggs, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, smoked salmon and avocado for brekky - yum! Packed up and left around 11am driving along the magical and mystical Coorong, home of the iconic children's book (and movie) Storm Boy, by Colin Thiele, which was set in the sand dunes of the Coorong. Well today we drove all of 31km to the seaside town of Kingston SE. We had heard there was a good 24 hour free camp opposite the beach and jetty with a great fish and chip shop right in front of the jetty. We chilled out this morning before leaving our beach farm stay at Wright's Bay around 2pm, knowing we were only moving up the road. After a feast of locally caught butter fish, scallops, prawns and calamari we felt ready for a glass of wine in the sun. Aaahhh...

Started the day with coffee in bed...I could get used to this! Then I made pancakes (gluten free) with banana, strawberries and kiwi and maple syrup - was surprisingly delicious even though I used gluten free flour. We are still in Mount Gambier and started the day at the Lady Nelson Visitor Centre where they have a display about the history of the area. Then we spent a bit of time at the local market buying some locally caught smoked trout and sampling some deep fried spiral cut potatoes and lamb skewers.
