The local market of Lamphun is not geared for foreigners and therefore is an attack on all of our senses (especially sense of smell)... But you can for sure get all colours and varieties of chickääähn! (and some really totally authentic ray bans for 2.50 euros)

I know it has been a looong time since I uploaded a post last - but in our defence, we have been covering a lot of way, were very busy seeing new places and had no proper internet connection. But I'll try to be better from now on! And here come some impressions, still from Thailand... Even more prep for Loi Krathong in the small village of Lamphun, which we visited by scooter and stayed for two days. People are getting excited for the festival of lights!

For today we had booked a cheap 'a little bit of everything' tour whick took us elephant riding (highly uncomfortable!), to a hilltribe village (souvenir hell!), rafting (in rather still water), bamboo rafting (just plain boring!) and to an orchid farm (ditto). The highlight was a trek through the jungle to a waterfall where we went swimming.
