The daily wage in Cambodia is $1 US or lower a day. I now actually believe the donation adds on tv. $1 really hoes a long way here. Cambodia hardly uses it's own money. $1 bills are like gold dust, Reil (Cambodian dollar) is so hard to get rid of. Oh a a US $2 is not liked either. Weird

Arrived in battambong today, Massive French influence in this town. It's the second biggest town in Cambodia but not a tourist destination. Had lunch at a family and women's shelter, where a Cambodian woman is trying to fund the entire operation on her own. They had funding from Spain but they have since stopped the funding. So she teaches the families how to sew and carve furniture which all goes back into the shelter
