The 6.5 hour drive from the Grampians was about the most boring drive you could ever do. With amazing views from the campervan in most of Australia, the flat nothingness of this drive was not up to the same standards. With nothing but straight flat roads dissapearing onto the horizon and a few very small towns for more than 5 hours we arrived in Adelaide. Staying in a small campsite near the centre we cooked up some sausage sandwiches and passed a rugby ball around to relax. As it got into the evening we decided to head to the pub for a quick schooner (australian for 3/4 of a Pint). After finding the pub we soon discovered that the whole of Adelaide actually shuts down on a Monday night with nothing at all open. What kind of city does that? Fustraited we headed back for the 2nd choice of luke warm goon.
The next day we had some fun. I somehow managed to lock the keys inside the car and we had to call Jucy to get someone to come out. After that we packed up ready to go before discovering the car battery had gone flat for the second time in the past few days. Luckly the guy next to us came to ourt rescue with some jump leads. After parking up we caught the bus into the City to explore. If im honest there wasnt much to do there, we wondered around a bit got some lunch and then headed to the only thing that seemed of any interest...the Market. I decided to follow what the travel guide said to do and bought some fresh ingrediants to make a baguette. After a while (2hours) we decided we didnt like Adelaide and headed back to the campa. I made up my bauegette of Parma Ham, mozerella, olive oil and rocket and we headed on our way for another 5hour Drive towards the great ocean road. The baguette was nice btw, its the picture :)
