Hi, am settling into life in broome pretty well, feel like i've been here for ages, but it'll only be a week tomorrow. i worked today - its going pretty well, quite a fun place to work- a lot are in the same situation as me.. even most of the aussies working there aren't actually from broome they are travelling. Am working tomorrow also, and have asked for as many hours as they can give me next week, so it should be a busy time! don't mind too much working beacuse they restaurant location is so good- right on the beach..perfect for sunrise/sunset etc, everyone coming in off the beach, so its good. we went exploring broome on a scooter yesterday as everything is so far apart its pretty hard to get to some parts any other way (the bus just goes one route from town to the beach!) a few people at the hostel have left today on a pearling boat so they'll be away for a couple of weeks, but new people have arrived and fitting in quickly! i am really enjoying the hostel at which i'm staying - can't really think of anyway they could improve it - apart from i'd love a wardrobe with coathangers! have been offered staff accomodation at the restaurant i work at though as someone is leaving soon. it is slightly cheaper to stay there, so may end up moving. am about to play some volleyball in a bit, so can't right for long as am hoping to put a few pics up aswell. hope you're all well though, laura xx
