Sunday we headed off on foot again to the Orsay Museum, about a 3km walk. We were lucky as it was the first Sunday of the month it was free admission and the entry queue moved fairly quickly. We saw many paintings by Monet,Manet, Renoir and Cezanne. We then went looking for a certain creperie , but got lost, easily done in Paris. We did however find a nice brasserie and had a couple of delicious baguettes. Went looking for the Luxembourg gardens, which according to our Map were close by, but got lost again. After getting our bearings decided to head back to the hotel. That evening we went with Trafalgar tours to Mon Marte for a look around and dinner. As with all those organised dinners, food was disappointing, but it was good to see the Sacre Couer.
Yesterday we headed out again and found what we were looking for yesterday as well as the Pantheon. The gardens were pretty and the Crepes were delicious. Mel had a Greek crepe and mine was smoked salmon and avocado. We headed back early as we had a big night out. Dinner at the Eiffel Tower, followed by a night cruise and the 11.30pm Moulin Rougue show, which was really enjoyable. The bus dropped us off at our hotel at 2.00am this morning.
Our last day in Paris.
After our late night we had a sleep in and headed to a local creperie to try a sweet version, Delicious once again. We then went to the top of the Montparnasse tower, which is very close to our hotel to check out the view of Paris. Mel then headed back to our hotel for a well earned rest and I went for a walk around the local area for a couple of hours. Managed to find a couple of treats at a patisserie for our supper.
The weather had been fantastic 25-30deg and no rain every day.
As we have to be up by 5am in the morning for transfer to airport for our flight to Rome, it will be an early night.
