The last 4 days at Blue Lagoon where pretty intense. After Birgit left the island on monday, Ruby arrived the day after. I was the one whom I was going to spend a lot of time with for the last few days. Then Sam and George left on wednesday. My time to go was approaching but I needed to not think about it.
I really had a great time. I went diving with Ruby. We went back to "Cathedral" the Bull shark dive, on wednesday. We were going to go before anyone had time to come and feed them but the buoy of the mooring had gone and it took so long to find the rope again that we only had 5 or 10 minutes before the guys from the other dive centres entered the water. We also went back to "Maze", a pretty cool dive site full of huge bommies with caves and passages to go through.
A good part of my time was also used to read as much as I could. Sam and George swapped book with me a couple of days before. I gave them "Orange is the new black" a book about a woman in prison for a year for carrying drug money and they gave me "Marching Powder" a book about a guy in prison for smuggling drug. I couldn't get my eyes off this book ! I highly recommend it !!
On thursday a lady from one of the villages of the island came to show/help people make bracelet. I made a nice bracelet and the lady was so kind she made me a beautiful anklet :) At night we took a couple of paddle boards and went on the water to watch the sunset. I was fantastic ! And so much fun !! We took our snorkeling gear and while looking for Barry the barracuda, we saw a few sting rays !
Friday, besides reading and chillin, we went night diving. It wasn't as good as the first one but a night dive is always good anyway !
Saturday, I had to say goodbye to Ruby and go back to Nadi for the night before heading to Auckland on sunday and Cairns on monday.
