Hi whanau and friends

We have a great start to our trip. First of all WE LOVE EMIRATES. The best service, they want to keep stuffing food and champagne down you the whole flight. Fabulous food. We have finished with Qantas and Air NZ.

Bangkok, well, only a stop over, luckily. We walked over the Bridge Over the River Kwai and visited the cemetery where a lot of the POWs who died in the construction of the railway are buried. Very sad as so hot that conditions must have been hideous. Bangkok is sleazy, dirty and charming. Crazy riotous colour at the floating markets. I doubt if we'll come across people as sweet and tolerant as the Thai people on our travels. No photos yet as Robert has bunged up the technology.
