Day Eighty Two - March 28
I thought I would provide an update of our current position on our way to Funchal. The current temperature is 20.8C / 69.4F Humidity 79% and Pressure 30.01 in HG. Fell free to look up further information on pressure.
We are exhibiting a strong breeze at 26.7 knots (30.7 miles per hour) with moderate waves of 2.5 meters or 8.2 feet. I have not been outside as yet so I do not known whether the upper deck for walking is open.
We had two time changes since we left Miami with our clocks moving forward one more hour Monday evening. The present time in Funchal Portugal is still three hours ahead so even after the clock change tonight we will need to move forward another two more hours. Now we know why travelling East is difficult on the body especially for the crew.
This is our fourth full sea day and we will be in Funchal on April 1.
During our time at sea, a Saturday event on March 26 was "James Bond 60th Anniversary Shaken, Not Stirred" at Martinis with the Insignia Band. It was well attended in such a small space.
Sunday was an evening with Oscar in the Insignia Lounge. It was well attended but starting at 21:00 so we only watched the first hour before retiring to bed.
Wow only three more sea days after today.

Gail Taylor Okay, I'm all caught up. I have checked out all the blogs and I'm in the loop - LOL Looking forward to reading them as they come in. What an awesome adventure you are on. Continue to enjoy my friends!
Shirley Grosser You are a couple of seasoned sailors by now! those time change expectations would, as you indicate, take some getting used to. This voyage is giving you unique insights for sure, I wonder what the real sailors do to assist their body’s adaptation to such changes, especially those crew in critical safety positions? Any advice offered to you? Sleep in? Get up earlier? Ignore?
DENNIS BAKER Allan and I have always have fun going east and the last time we did we had a black room and slept until 2:00 pm and that was a cure.
Martin Woods I seem to be okay with the time change . Presently, we need to change the time three times over the next four nights by one hour per night. Hopefully our bodies will be accustomed by Friday morning our first port in Portugal. Most guests are lying low for the time being because when we get to Europe it is something like 16 ports in 17 days.
