We spent our last day in Peru in Lima. In the morning, we shopped at the handicraft market and picked up a few more souvenirs. After lunch at a gourmet burger place near our hotel, our guide took us on a city tour. We saw an interesting combination of old, colonial buildings and new hotels, banks, and office buildings.

We had a 6+ hour flight from Atlanta with a meal and a snack that was really a second meal. I watched two movies that we had been meaning to rent. It took an hour or so to get through immigration and customs. One of the student's luggage went to Detroit by mistake. We got to our hotel in the Miraflores area, on the ocean, about 1 a.m. The rooms all overlook a charming courtyard, open windows with no screens!
