No we have had very little rain indeed, although i think the monsoon season(s) for the North are early and late in the year. Any monsoon rain in thailand at the mo is Bangkok and to the south. (Bangkok apparently looks like Venice come September!). Hope you are well, i bet you're getting very excited about your hols now!

I had a lovely Birthday. I did work during the day, but Em and Sarah cooked me a lovely meal in the evening and told me about their travelling plans. Apparently they are going to meet up with you both before travelling to Australia to visit Sarah's friend in the outback, and then on to New Zealand. It all sounds very exciting, and all the flights are booked. Grandma will be so proud of you all!

It sounds as though you are both having a fantastic time. The elephant sanctuary sounds great. Its lovely to hear that the animals are treated with dignity and respect, its a pity that all animals are not thought of and treated in that way. I loved the video, how did you download that?

I'm off on my biomechanics course this weekend, Just as Dad comes back from his travels, but we will get together on Monday and sort out this house sale. Someone wants to buy it- always a bonus- but hasn't sold their house yet. so we will just have to be patient.

Going to the Buddhism Centre today to find out about meditation classes, somaybe they might have something nice there. Hope you had a wonderful, no doubt you worked through it, so tomorrow have arelaxing day and treat yourself! make sure you do. I wish you were here as the spas and thai massage places are everywhere and realy cheap.

Lovely to read about the elephant sanctuary. Sounds wonderful! Are the paintings very expensive? would make very unusual souvenier! Everyone sends their love, especially Nanny and Grandad. they still have not been up to see the photos (think they have forgotten where we live, will have to send them a map in time for Christmas!)

Hoping to all go out for meal for Grandad's 75th birthday in August. Won't be the same (for me anyway) without you there but I'm sure we'll do our best to have a good time!!

Enjoyed the videos and the new photos and entries immensely. It really must take ages to do. Are they a joint effort or all down to Hayley's literary skills! Whatever, they are very impressive.

Wow, the elephant sanctuary sounds amazing. Glad to hear that you bought a painting, the memories that come with it are worth whatever price you paid. Sounds as though you are having a fabulous time. In Texas the weather is hot and sticky. I'm looking forward to Auntie Hilary arriving in about 10 days and then Jess' s graduation in two weeks. It all sounds fantastic, n that you're having a great time!

We needed to let you know that there has been an earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale in indonesia and a tsunami warning has been issued. Mum was particularly concerned when she woke up so please, if you get this, move to higher ground if you're not there already!

I have every faith you'll be fine but its important you that you know.

Have just read your Aunty Liz's message to you both, but wanted to add that Granma came to visit us with Simon on Monday. It was a wonderful surprise and joyfully emotional. She mainly spoke directly to Aunty Sheila, but sends her love to all of her children. (oh feeling emotional as i'm tying this!!!!) She said" we ( i think she means grandad aswell) are pleased with the grandchildren and their travels."

I wanted you to know this as i knew it would be important to you. grandma also said "(Grandad) misses chocolate more than anything!" Nothing changes then!

Although we didn't have the chance to ask specifically questions on your behalf, anything you want asked just email me and I will put it forward for you next time. Always know how guided and protected you both are.
