Morning. It is about 5:45 am here and i am sitting in the Hotel Lobby on the internet. The 3 porters are asleep behind me on the big squashy chairs. These guys are amazing, they work most of the night looking after us and keeping us safe. I do wonder if and when they go home, or do they live here and always sleep on the couches.

Big day yesterday as you have probably already read from Shane. So i will rabbit on about other things.

We tried lots of diffrent things to eat. There were these flat pancakes things. Crsipy and very thin with banana in them and ginger. Very good and only cost about 10.000 dong for 6 big rounds.

We have befriended the restaurant next door and the young waitress likes to practice her english on us. They have lots of good food and what makes it even better is they have pictures in the menu, so you get a basic idea of what you are ordering before you eat it. Cal likes that.

Breakky is good, lots of Pho, fried rice,different spicey meats, even fried eggs. Fabulous bread rolls. Yesterday they had chips!!! Coffee is made with condensed milk. You get used to it and hey it's Caffeine. Today i will go to the Highlands Cafe and have a proper Cino. Andrew and Phoung i have bought you some Coffee beans from there.

Georgie and i want to do some shopping today, as there are markets everywhere. Everything sooo cheap. Cal has been having a good time bartering. He bought a couple of "Billabong" boardies for $9 total. He presumes they are fake.... However they fit well, and he did well getting the price down. Everyone loves the kids and wants to talk to them and pat them. Georgie is leaving her hair up, as she gets lots of looks as it is because of the blonde, but with the hair down, wellll thats it.....

Everytime we think we know where we are going, we get a little cocky and get lost. Quite funny. Sunday night we went to the top of the Majestic Hotel to have a drink on the top balcony and look at the city. Wonderful. However we left our companions and decided to go home via these sparkly lit roads - the christmas lights. So off we trooped. After a while we realised thet we had no idea where we were and it was about 9pm and Callum was starving. And we forgot the Map!! Got back eventually and got Cal some food. Garlic bread and chips. I know, not Asian food, but the boy needed Carbs!!!!

Amazing, was chatting to another tourist in our Hotel and it turns out i went to Uni with him in the 80's. He remembered me, probably becuse there were only 5 girls in the course at the time. Said he remembered my voice........... Anyhow had a drink with them and some reminicing.

Well today, will be some shopping and looking at maybe the War museum and the parts of the city we have not sem yet (which is most of it, because Saigon City is Huuuuuge). The maddness has already started outside, motorbikes everywhere and horns blearing. The porters are still asleep. Breaky is in about 45mins. So i will go. See you later. Janie
